Its not necessarily bots so much as people making accounts and posting advertisements...or in our case posting as a guest.

So, I changed it around a bit and made it so that guests can actually see the forums, but only registered members can post. No idea why I didn't do that initially, but oh well. Should work alright now, and at least now guests can browse the forums, rather than being completely locked out. We'll see how it goes, and since I'll be around a lot more now, I'll keep an eye out for bots/advertisers.
