Submitted for your approval:
Name: Juryrigger (real name lost) Age: 26 Gender: Male Height: 6' 1" Weight: 148 lbs. Faction: Originally Republican, now a renegade with no set allegiance. Appearance: Tall, skinny, pale. His hair is a wiry black mess, sticking up in odd places. He generally wears gray clothing, nondescript, with sturdy boots and black fingerless gloves. Wears a pair of green shrapnel goggles. Inventory: Small notebook containing his notes, odd bits and ends of tech that he took apart, seven homemade grenades, soldering iron, tweezers, knife, a pair of wire cutters. A ballpoint pen. Everything truly vital he keeps on his ship, the Bucket. Other Info: Totally obsessed with technology. Wants to see the rebirth of the mass production of tech. Has an extensive knowledge of how things work, a working understanding of physics, amazing grasp of chemistry. Wanders space between Jupiter and Earth, looking for abandoned tech and other salvage to experiment with.

Name: Unknown, though others refer to him as “The Dark One”. Age: Unknown, though, based of fitness, on could guess 20 to 60. Gender: Unknown, but all evidence points to male (referred to as male henceforth). Height: 190cm. Weight: Unknown, seems to be around 60-70kg. Faction: Pirate, but in the loosest sense. Appearance: Most of him is never seen, only his face really. Has a scar across his left eye, going from about halfway up his forehead, down, next to his mouth, to an unknown distance further. Long black hair (about 3/4 of his height, so about 45cm from the ground, when standing), tied in a ponytail for convenience. Clean shaven, apparently whatever caused his scar stopped all other hair growth on his face. Eyes are of an unknown colour (as none have ever seen them). Clothing: A long black trenchcoat, going to a few centimetres about ground, usually closed at the front. Black gloves, boots and trilby hat. All black clothing underneath the trenchcoat. All outer clothing bullet, flame, water (and similar) –proof; cost a bit, one could wager, not that there’s any evidence pointing to him actually buying it. Weapons: Unknown, as none to ever see them lived. Obviously something good, otherwise the previous statement would be false. Other Information: Skilled in the art of using words as “weapons”, blackmail being one of his greater traits. Appears to be able to meld into the shadows, but this may just be due to speed, and his dark clothing. One could assume incredible agility, part of his record of not dying. Doesn’t harbour loyalty to anyone but himself; being a pirate only because of the convenience. Seems to show a great hatred of humanity as a whole, though perhaps not hating some individuals.

In order:
Asmar: okay, we'll leave it as it is
Jace: needs a description of te Bucket in at least some detail
jcdenton: Earth is under Imperial Control, not Republic. Perhaps replace "Republic" with "Imperium"? The Republic are mostly in Enormous ships the size of small planets, inhabited on the outside and within (power/light source being a huge cycling Fission/Fusion reactor) and Geostationary orbits thereof.
Fred Jimberson: bad. It is nigh impossible to play a character with no name, no age, no alliegance, hardly any appearance and unknown items. Far, FAR too vague.

The Bucket. How to describe the Bucket.
'Scrapheap' seems like a good place to start. Juryrigger built it himself, from salvage he had to fight fiercely for. Part of the reason he's so good at repairing stuff is because he spends a lot of time making sure that the Bucket doesn't, oh, ventilate its atmosphere at random times. It's cramped inside, room for three or four people, maybe. Messy, too. Wires hang down some places. Random tech litters ever available working area. Cargo area is packed with larger tech and supplies. It's kinda dark inside, because Juryrigger doesn't like to fuss with the wiring. It's got red emergency lights here and there.
As for the exterior, it lives to it's name; bucketlike. It's cylindrical, with two oversized engines. The cockpit is located in the front. Canopy is made of a composite material that's designed to withstand enormous forces. A pair of claws, used for gathering salvage, jut from the belly of the ship. The whole thing is rust-stained, scorched, and only notable for its staggering state of seeming disrepair. But it can cover distance like nobody's business, able to outrun most of the heavier ships and outmaneuver the lighter ones.
If you want more detail, just say the word.

In order: Fred Jimberson: bad. It is nigh impossible to play a character with no name, no age, no alliegance, hardly any appearance and unknown items. Far, FAR too vague. Actually, I agree with you now. As they say, it seemed like such a good idea at the time. No, after thinking for a bit, I'm redoing him. Name: Benjamin “Gunlord” Holt. Age: 39. Gender: Male. Height: 191cm. Weight: 121kg. Faction: Pirate. Appearance: A rather big built man, not fat, nor does he have visibly huge muscles. Has a shaggy brown beard, not too long; and his hair is quite similar, but about shoulder length. Has a short scar across his right cheek. Clothing: A long (dark) brown trenchcoat, always open up front. Has a refined (more durable, and softens the impact of bullets somewhat) bullet-proof vest covered by a grey shirt covering his torso. He wears navy denim jeans on the lower portion of his body, with black work boots. Weapons: Being a man born with a gun in his hand, one will rarely see him without his trusted Battle Rifle. Has a pair of pistols within his coat, though rarely using them. And if ammo suddenly runs out, his surprising agility will help him break his foe using his body as a weapon. Not that it is likely that ammo will run out, as he is very good when it comes to shooting someone or something down. Other Information: A very successful pirate, he has a whole host of underlings under his command, who generally aid him in pirating. The rewards are well worth it, however. This explains his wealth, and ability to afford ammunition. He lives (along with his minions) on his own space cruiser, a 3km long beauty, well outfitted with smaller boarding craft and defenses. (Cruiser will be explained later) Any better? -Fred

In order (again): jace: good! estimated speed, acceleration and length would improve this description fred jimberson: Much better, although 3km is small for a cruiser, and having to RP underlings becomes either i)Tedious ii)Difficult or iii) Godmoding very quickly. Having virtually unlimited resources makes for a boring story, (he needed this thing... and he got it!) and the cruiser needs a description.
Everybody Remember: even at this early stage, the extra few keystrokes of effort required to make the character fit in just a little better with everyone else's always pays off.

Well, I can cut the factory, but being a pirate, that's just the way they live. What I had in mind was an old-fashioned pirate ship. We have the Captain (my guy) and a bunch of crew members who fight too. But if you don't like it, I'm sure a bit of work can be done. As for 3km, I wanted something that could house his "army," but not stand out from a distance (I've been trying to make an elephant/ninja hybrid for a while. It doesn't work well). (Note: I have made a slight change to the above profile)
