He had first wanted to back away from Thea when she approached him, but when she spoke... suddenly an odd feeling took over him. He suddenly actually wanted to smile as she asked. The emotions of losing his home hadn't completely dissapeared, but they suddenly had become lighter on him. When Liore had smiled at him, he actually did smile back, but then he realized just how far ahead everyone would be ahead of him if he didn't hurry, so he ran to catch up to them.

|| Because I should stop being a lazy Storyteller... here is the description of our upcoming area. No plot from Thea at the moment, as all we're doing is RUNNING AWAAAAAAAY! ||
The currently unguarded arch that opened the stone-walled town into the surrounding scrubby forest and beachfront was mere yards from the party. Beyond it was miles of stripped forest to the north and east and a pale and cold sea running along the west coast. Travelling north would be four to five days of plain woods before the next human settlement, with the occasional group of gypsies or troll bandits. To the east was two days of woods and, after that, three weeks of desert. To the northeast, however, was a week of forest, but the promising hope of misty trees and plains belonging to the elves.
|| More of the land later, if necessary. ||

A while later, they had slowed to a walk within the forest outside the city. Liore had been quiet, simply taking in the area, and the most that was heard from his was the jingle of the bit on the riding bird's beak. It chirped a few times idly, and he scanned the other travellers...The dwarf and the barbarian woman ahead, Thea nearby, Thel near as wel, but seeming to hug the back of the group. He pondered.."Two meatshields, a ranger, a medic, and a magus...Hm..Sounds like a pretty balanced group."
He grimaced, realizing he had no clue where they were going, and if they had enough supplies. He reached around and pulled the bag aroudn to his front and rummaged through it. He'd still need a new blade and a bow and arrows. All he had right now was his melee..And well, he figured the other two ahead were far better at that than he.
fuuu... He sighed.

Thea laughed. "Meatshields?" She asked of Liore. She had disembarked from the bird, wisely judging that she needed to toughen up and get used to long walks, not on birdback.
|| Regardless of whether or not he said it out loud... Thea can catch occasional thoughts. But only rarely. ||

Liore winced in surprise at her words, looking to her with a shy smile. "Ahh....what was that?" His ears drooped slightly, and he hoped he'd not said that aloud, nor offended the aforementioned 'meatshields'.
He peered to her and Thel..."Anyway, how are you two fairing..wanna trade spots, Thelmore?" He asked curiously to the other, shyer Elf.

Thelmore was snapped out of his own thoughts suddenly as Liore spoke. He had been looking out at the surrounding forest in wonder. For some reason they were making him feel some odd sense of longing... probably because the Sim'aldar had lived deep within forests. He was amazed that he hadn't forgotten that by now. He turned his gaze to Liore.
"I'm allright... thanks."

At about mid-day Grimm just stopped in the middle of the road, sat down, rummaged around in his pack and started eating some dried meat. "Whelp, I imagine you lot are tired by now. You brought food right? I'll share mine but I only be having enough for myself, a group like this will use mine up in a few days... and if ya brought food... did ya bring beer? I got me wineskin here but this stuff in it is precious and I'd be prefering not to use it up. So... where we going anyways?"

Rysela chuckles when the dwarf stops and sits down across from him, pulling a small peice of bread from a bag hanging from her waist and beginning to eat it. "The Dwarf brings up a good question....where are we headed?"

Liore halted the riding bird at Rysela's question, thinking. Just where WERE they going? He thought, and padded his shirt idly, before feeling a roll of paper, and he pulled it out..revealing the map he'd 'won' back at home..."...Oh...Well...Maybe we could go here. I'm not sure how far away it is...but I know it's on the new continent.." He scratched his head, looking to the others, feeling rather stupid.

Thea leaned over to inspect the paper, having returned to the bird once her feet decided they just would not support her anymore. She felt sheepish about how weak she was in comparison to her fellow travellers, but tried to hide it as she perused the map.
"Well... I had thought we could go to... you know, the Elves' lands... I mean, I've never been out of my hometown... I thought I could, you know, just travel this continent." She looked down, a bit ashamed. In comparison to her well-traveled companions, she was just a child. Not just in age, but in experience.

"Elf lands? Why'd ya want ta go there lass? Nothing but a bunch of snooty, wine drinking, prissys wit no idea how to fight. If'n ya want's some fun ya should come to the Ironfist stronghold, meet some Dwarves. Meself, I'm liking the Elves idea. I'm thinking a new continent would be fun, maybe some treasure, and most definatly some fights." Grim said, smiling.

"You both forget... Both Liore and I are being hunted by the other Elves... Someone would surely recognise us, so that may not be the best place to begin..." Thelmore said, breaking his usual silence. He then glanced back at Grim with an emotionless look. "And I wonder why you say such things even though two elves travel with you... Haven't we proven that Elves are not all like that by now?"

Grimm cocked his head at Thelmore's question. "Mmmm? Well, obviously ya two are the exceptions to tha rule. I mean, why else would I travel wit ya? Come on, I thought that was obvious. Ya don't see Dwarves traveling with just any Elves do ya?" He asked, head still cocked. Under his breath he muttered, "Silly Elves."

Thea bit her lip at Thelmore's comment. "Oh, right... I suppose that wouldn't be a good idea." She stroked the bird's beak gently, deciding to keep her nose out of everyone else's buisness.
